Golden
Gate
: It is considered as one of the most
beautiful suspension bridges in the
world and has been a photographer’s
delight for many years. The total length
of the bridge is 2,727m and there are
several things to do in and around the
bridge. You can take a walk on the
bridge, take pictures on a foggy day, or
take the popular adventure ride on bikes
over the bridge. It is a 9-mile ride
with the last 3-miles being downhill.
Double
Decker Ride
: This is one of the fun oriented rides
in San Francisco. Hop on to an open-top
Double Decker bus and get some of the
best views of the San Francisco
cityscape. The bus tour costs around
$19.99 per person and you’ll have to
make a reservation in advance.
Fisherman’s
Wharf
: Fisherman’s Wharf is considered as
the best place to start your tour of San
Francisco. This is the place from where
you can take Bay cruises offering
different packages and attractions like
sailing to Alcatraz Island, looking for
sea lions, fishing trips that include a
catch of halibut and striped bass, drift
fishing, and you can even hold a private
party aboard one of the cruise ships.
Whale
Watching
: This is an interesting tour and is
meant for all animal lovers, children,
and adults. You will be heading to
Farallon Islands for whale watching.
Farallon Islands is a national wildlife
refuge and is home to the largest
concentration of breeding sea birds in
the US. The sanctuary is also home to
some endangered species like the Marbled
Murrelets, Northern Fur Seals,
Leatherback Sea Turtle, Steller Sea
Lions, and Northern Elephant Seals. You
will be able to catch a glimpse of the
Blue Whale, Orcas, Humpback Whale, Gray
Whales, White sided Dolphin, Tufted
Puffin, and the Great White Shark.
